COVID-19 is drastically affecting the global population, and the governments of every affected country have imposed a lockdown on their citizens. The condition in India is no different.
Amidst this COVID-19 pandemic situation, the elderly population is suffering the most. As per the virologists in Kolkata, because of their weaker immune system, they are more susceptible to fatality. Hence, in the time of global health emergency, the older people require more support and protection. Keeping this in mind, some corporate have stepped up to help seniors. This comes with the government and the doctors having urged the people above 60 years to take extra precautions. Besides frequent hand wash, they need to avoid public gathering and use face masks whenever they are stepping outside.
TriBeCa has been helping them with essential services.
Tribeca Care’s 24/7 Emergency Helpline has remained fully functioning for ambulance call-outs and Care Manager response during the pandemic. In addition, we are continuing to provide full-time attendants and CCTV installations as a way to have control over the care and monitoring provided by the next of kin, without outside interference.
Keeping social distancing and hygiene factors in mind, Tribeca Care has launched 3 initiatives. We have already provided service to 5,000 seniors in the lockdown period.
- “Dare to Care” – a no contact grocery and medicine delivery service at home

- “Happy at Home” – FREE access to recreational activities through our WhatsApp groups and Zoom sessions (e.g. crosswords, yoga, book reading, music, etc) – to combat loneliness.
This is over and above our regular services of hospitalization, medical and non-medical support by our geriatric trained care managers that we provide. Know more on our initiatives here: http://newwpsite.tribecacare.com/covid19/

Debabrata Dutta says, “They provide excellent elder care. I have availed their services for my mother living in Kolkata. They are very professional and the caregivers are like family whom you can completely rely on. One can completely trust them for being there when you need them. They also organize events for the elders which are nice and enjoyable for the senior citizens. Special mention for Sangeeta who is outstanding.“
Another client Saikat Majumdar expresses his satisfaction and says, “Tribeca takes care of my mother living by herself in Kolkata. The service is exceptional, assist in all perspectives. Also take care of special requests. Would like to mention Gaurav Mitra specifically. He is extremely responsible, and provide the care that satisfies completely.“
The pandemic situation has raised even other problems for senior citizens. Loneliness and depression is a constant companion in the time of quarantine. Other emergency health services are also facing difficulties, which is provoking anxiety in children who are staying away from their parents. Thanks to TriBeCa, they are trying to protect and support the elderly loved ones.
