The backbone of healthcare is good quality nursing. Although nursing is essential for quality healthcare, the profession in India still has not been given due recognition. It is time for us to look at nursing issues in India.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Nursing Conclave, in its 3rd edition, focused on catering to the needs of nurses and combating their challenges. This conclave not only aims to make them empowered but also is also encouraging them to achieve what they deserve and continue to provide the best of services the healthcare sector needs.
Organised on June 1, 2019, this conclave addressed by Vijay Dewan (Chairman, West Bengal State Council & Managing Director) and Rupak Barua (Chairman, CII Eastern Region Healthcare Subcommittee & Group CEO).
The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest, Mrs Chandrima Bhattacharya (Hon’ble Minister-of-State, Department of Health & Family Welfare) and Guest of Honour, Mr Binod Kumar (IAS, Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare).
The event was based on three-panel discussions and sessions attended by renowned panelists on board with their views and opinions.
CII works closely with the Government on several policy issues, interfacing with thought leaders, and enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and business opportunities for industry through a range of specialized services and strategic global linkages. Moreover, CII provides a platform for consensus-building and networking on key issues.
